What practical uses... have you seen?

I have definitely seen the one about fashion. Many clothes use vertical stripes to make people appear taller, or dark colours to make them appear slimmer. I have also seen 3D paintings on the street (a type of advertisement) that try to trick your brain and make you pay attention.

What are your favourite optical illusions...?

My favourite illusion from page 112 was the Stroop effect (E), with the colours. It's very difficult to do and really shows how the brain works. I also think the plate illusion (Ілюзія Дельбефа) mentioned on this page is very interesting because it's a simple trick that can help people eat healthier.
