Their first two singles went to number one in the UK single chart in 2005, and their first album, «Whatever People Say I am, That's What I’m Not», sold over 350,000 copies in its first week. The group are: Alex Turner, who is the leadsinger and plays the guitar, Jamie Cook and Nick O’Malley, who both play the guitar, and Matthew Helder, who is the drummer and also sings.
