I think you definitely need a degree to be a lawyer, an architect, a pharmacist, and a vet. You probably need one to be a journalist or a politician. You don't need a degree to be a babysitter.
...are paid the highest?
In my opinion, lawyers and architects are paid the highest. Politicians also. I'm not sure, but maybe babysitters and builders are paid the lowest.
...do people mainly do in an office?
Architects, lawyers, and politicians must work in an office most of the time. Firefighters and builders definitely don't work in an office.
...often mean working weekends?
Firefighters and vets probably have to work weekends, because emergencies can happen any time. Presenters (for live shows) and journalists (for breaking news) too. Babysitters also often work on weekend evenings.
...the most interesting/boring?
For me, the most interesting job would be a firefighter because it's brave and you help people, or a journalist because you meet new people. I think being an architect might be the most boring, because you just sit and design buildings on a computer all day.
